Dear ETAC-USA Community,
It’s our pleasure to welcome you all to the Turk Evi as we come together with great enthusiasm to commemorate the 101st Anniversary of our Republic. It was established under extraordinary circumstances, emerging from the ashes to become the nation we cherish today.
This celebration presents a unique opportunity for our children to learn about the significance of our Republic and their role in preserving it.
Our program will begin with an opening speech followed by the delightful performance of the children's musical performances led by Sema Oktay. Continuing into the afternoon, we'll enjoy a buffet brunch with delicious Turkish dishes and a cultural show featuring songs, national anthems, and dances.
There is so much to be a part of at our 101st Anniversary Celebration including an array of games, gifts, and surprises that your children will love. You’ll leave the Turkish House with cherished family photos and the words, "Ne Mutlu Türküm Diyene!"

Sema Oktay - Children's Musical Performance
ETAC Children's Choir was founded by Sema Oktay in 2021.
IIstanbul Technical University awarded her a Master of Arts degree in Stringed Instruments and Music Pedagogy and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Conservatory.
Her career as a music teacher spans 38 years. She taught music in private schools in North Carolina, California, USA & Istanbul, Turkey. Besides coaching children's choirs, she played violin and piano in various orchestras and groups. A native Turkish speaker, she is also fluent in English and German.
Nilgun A. Wolpe - Tango Performance
With 37 years of engineering experience, Nilgun Wolpe has performed Argentina Tango, Rumba/Cha Cha and worked abroad for ten years. She has 23 years of experience in California, and 10 years abroad.
She designs steel, wood, concrete, masonry buildings, and also specializes in seismic retrofit for a wide range of building types. She also believes in team work and in finding cost effective and unique engineering solutions for each project she undertakes.
She is the president and founder of NY Engineering, a structural engineering company doing business in the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond since she founded it in 2004. The company’s projects range from commercial, seismic soft story, multi-family, and residential.

Alper Mizrak - Founder & Owner
He works as a software engineer while practicing beekeeping as a hobby. His two daughters, Lina and Melisa, assist him in this endeavor.

Saduman Gloria Güzel - Founder/Owner
